Sacramento Ranks In Top Ten Nationally For Great Parks

According to The Trust for Public Land's park score index which ranks the nation's 60 largest cites and their park systems, Sacramento ranks in the top ten.  The Trust looks at park walking accessibility and income relationships.

Sacramento dropped in ranking from last year due to population increases straining access to popular parks.  San Francisco and San Diego rounded out the top ten.

As a resident of the city I take great pride in the fact that I can walk within 5 minutes to a park.  My family and I attend many events at parks including: Friday nite concerts at Chavez Park, to volunteering at clean up events.
